On Wednesday morning, November 21, Southmoor Elementary School will remember the victims of September 11 and honor the heroes who supported and continue to support America.

In alignment with the National PTA, Southmoor Elementary will hold a short ceremony from 9:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
The service will include the Pledge of Allegiance and a presentation of the Southmoor Wreath to our local Fire Department, Station 22.

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be on the playground; the cafeteria is back-up location. The Southmoor Wreath will be comprised of cutouts of the children's handprints that have been decorated in a patriotic theme.

National Wreath of Remembrance Day is an opportunity for PTAs, schools, and communities across the county to show their support for the victims of the September 11 tragedies and their families by displaying a visible sign of solidarity in schools, homes, and communities.
