In an effort to meet growth, Denver
Public Schools continues to serve the public by renovating its existing
buildings and providing new classroom space for growing schools.
Seven classrooms were added at John F. Kennedy High School to aid
students in meeting the demands of the new century. In addition
to three general classrooms, the new space includes a computer lab,
a foreign language room, a pre-engineering room and a tele-conferencing
room to meet the needs of the students and staff. The $2.3 million
dollar project was constructed in eleven months.
A dedication ceremony for the new addition is set for Tuesday, October
9th at 9:30 a.m. at 2855 South Lamar Street. This project was built
with proceeds from the $305 million dollar bond passed by voters
in 1998.
