Greenlee Elementary School will host a community build day on Saturday, October 6 to provide a new playground for the school's outdoor landscape.

The community build will add more than 25,000 square feet of sod to an arid playground to provide a safe place to play for physical education classes and recess.

"Our students are anxiously awaiting the completion of the playground," said Greenlee Principal Josephine Garcia. "It will offer a positive educational environment that promotes social interaction for our students and the surrounding community."

The one-day event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the school, located at 1150 Lipan Street.
