Students are invited to attend a rally Tuesday, September 25 on the west steps of the state Capitol to show support for the United States. The rally will begin at 6 p.m.

"Students need to show that we are not complacent," said East High School senior Saul Garlick.

Garlick and other members of the "Student Movement For Real Change" club at East High School are organizing the rally.

"It's important that we support American unity, American values, and that we grow stronger from this tragedy," he said.

At the event, students will also gather donations for the families of firefighters and police officers involved in the September 11 tragedies.

The rally will include students, a member of the Denver Board of Education, Colorado Lieutenant Governor Joe Rogers, and other public officials.

All members of the public are invited.
