The staff of the Department of Community Education is holding a spare change drive to support the American Red Cross in its effort to assist families and communities impacted by the recent tragedies in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.

Look for large jars and the "Pennies For Peace" sign at various Denver Public Schools offices and Kaleidoscope Corner (an after-school day care program) sites and bring your spare change.

Representatives of the Red Cross have expressed that monetary donations will be the most crucial during this time of need.
