Schools With Growth In CSAP Scores To Be Recognized At Board Of Education Meeting Thursday, August 2

The Board of Education has three meetings scheduled for Thursday, August 2. The following is a schedule and tentative agenda items:

  • 3:55 p.m. - Board of Education Special Legislative Meeting, First Floor Board Room
 
  1. Personnel Issues
  • 4:00 p.m. - Staff Reports, First Floor Board Room
 
  1. District Review of CSAP Results (a summary of the CSAP results including facts around quality growth and recognition of those schools that showed improvement)
  2. Out of School Programs in Denver Public Schools
  3. Grant Proposal- Individuals with Disabilities Act-Preschool
  4. Grant Proposal-Individuals with Disabilities Act-Part B
  • 7:00 p.m. - Public Hearing, First Floor Board Room.
    To date, four speakers have signed up to discuss the following: the discontinuation of bilingual education; discipline issues at the elementary school level; services for special needs children; and out-of-school time activities for youth.
