Board of Education Makes Changes in Personnel

Under the new reorganization plan at Denver Public Schools, the Board of Education formally named David Debus to Assistant Area Superintendent in the Northwest Area.

"We are very excited to have him join the team," said Dr. Jerry Wartgow. "I think it's an outstanding group that has already risen to the occasion."

Dr. Wartgow originally named Executive Director of Elementary Education, Beth Biggs to Assistant Area Superintendent for the Northwest but with Debus' appointment Biggs will now become Assistant Area Superintendent for the Southeast. Wendy Lanier was named Interim Principal at North High School. Former North High School principal, Joe Sandoval, was previously named Northwest Area Superintendent.

Other changes include: Kathleen Adams, Principal, Park Hill Elementary; Gwendolyn Henderson-Gethers, Interim Principal, Carson Elementary School; and George Schnittgrund, Principal, Brown Elementary School.
