Board Of Education Schedule And Agenda For Meetings Thursday, May 3

The Board of Education has three meetings scheduled for Thursday, May 3.

Following are the schedule and tentative agenda items for the meetings:

1. 4 p.m. - Staff Reports (1st Floor Board Room)

• Arts Resource Council - Annual Report
  
• HUBS (Historically Underutilized Businesses) Update
  
• Name for new Lowry-area elementary school
  
• Title IX - Indian Education Program and American Indian Focus School Report
  
• Program Evaluation - Garden Place Academy, Denver Baccalaureate Program

2. 5 p.m. - Work Session, Room 706

• Reapportionment
  
• Denver Kids, Inc.
  
• 1400B Policy Revisions (due process for classified employees)
  
• Denver School of the Arts program design
  
• Legal matters (Closed)

3. 7 p.m - Public Hearing, (1st Floor Board Room)

To date, 11 speakers have signed up on such topics as Boy Scouts of America, programming and needs at Montbello High School, teacher contract negotiations, and MESA (Math, Engineering and Science Achievement).
