Groundbreaking April 4 For Playground Renovation At Fairview

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Wednesday, April 4, for the renovation of the playground at Fairview Elementary School.

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the school, 2715 W. 11th Ave.

The three-month project will result in a complete overhaul of the primary and intermediate playgrounds on the northeast side of the school, with new play areas, playground equipment, surfaces, shape structure, and learning landscapes.

The Denver Broncos Charities, the Mayor's Office (Neighborhood and Housing Development Services), Denver Public Schools, and the University of Colorado at Denver (UCD) are supporting the $240,000 project.

Member of the Denver Board of Education and officials from the Mayor's Office are expected to be in attendance for the groundbreaking ceremony.
