Board Meeting Agendas For

The Board of Education has scheduled four meetings for Thursday, April
5.
Following is the tentative schedule and agenda information:
1. Special Legislative Meeting - 3:55 p.m.
2. Staff Reports - 4:00 p.m.
- Character Education - update on "Caring Communities Build Character,"
an effort launched in 1998 (now in place at 17 elementary and four middle
schools).
- High Standards for All Students - recommendations on analyzing and
improving the achievement gap.
- Program Evaluation - Arts Infusion.
- Staff analysis of the Program Design Advisory Committee recommendations
for North Central Middle School.
3. Work Session - 5:30 pm.
- Negotiations, Personnel (closed)
- Pension funds study RFP
- 1400B Policy Revision
- Manual High School Proposal
- Contract with Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning
4. Public Hearing - 7:00 p.m.
To date, five speakers have signed up to speak on such topics as Apollo
Charter, East High School admissions, and testing and reading.
Meetings will be held in the first floor boardroom at the 900 Grant St.
administrative building.
