Principal's Parrot Outfit To Pay Off Reading Challenge

WHO: Asbury Elementary School principal Lynne Tucker

WHAT: Dressed in a parrot costume, she will walk up and down Evans Avenue (near her school) for 90 minutes holding a sign about Asbury and its wonderful students.

WHEN: 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Friday, March 2

WHERE: Evans Avenue (east one block from Downing) near the school. Asbury is located at 1320 E. Asbury Ave. Telephone is 303-722-4695.

WHY: Students spent 45,360 minutes - in one month - reading at home. Principal Tucker promised this demonstration if students achieved the goal.
