Parents: Return School Surveys By March 30

School Satisfaction Surveys have been distributed - and now parents need to keep an eye on the March 30 deadline for mailing them back.

With schools closed over Spring Break (March 26 - 30), parents who did not receive a survey may want to track down a copy by March 23.

"We are hoping to encourage a high rate of participation with this survey," said David B. Thomas of the district's Assessment and Testing Department. "The more feedback, the more useful the information will be for schools to make improvements."

The surveys solicit the views of all DPS parents, students and teachers on classroom learning, homework, school safety, discipline, teacher expectations, school-parent communication and CSAP preparation.

Parents who do not receive a survey should contact their child's school. The surveys are confidential.
