Board Of Education Agendas For February 1

January 30, 2001

The Denver Board of Education has three meetings set for Thursday, February 1.

The meetings will be held at 900 Grant St.

The first meeting is a work session beginning at noon in room 706 to discuss budget issues.

The second meeting is a staff reports session in the first floor Board Room, scheduled for 4 p.m. The following items are scheduled:

  • Program evaluation of K-6 educational models
  • "Accelerating Student Learning in Math and Science" grant proposal.

Following staff reports, the Board will resume its work session in room 706.

The Board's regular monthly public hearing is at 7 p.m. in the first floor Board Room. As of Tuesday, 47 speakers had signed up to discuss such items as staff-proposed cuts to the gifted and talented program, access to open records, Denver Kids, the GED (General Equivalency Degree) program, History Day and the El Alma de la Raza program.
