Thursday, January 25
January 17, 2001
The Board of Education will host its third Community Forum of the 2000-2001
school year at the Rocky Mountain School Of Expeditionary Learning on
Thursday, January 25.
All community members, school parents, teachers, and students are invited
to attend.
Prior to the forum, the Board will host a brief community reception, beginning
at 6:30 p.m.
The forum will begin at 7:00 p.m. and run for about two hours. Those wishing
to speak about an issue with the Board of Education may sign up at RMSEL
on the 25th. A Spanish-speaking translator will be available.
RMSEL is located at 1700 S. Holly Street in the former Ash Grove Elementary
School building. The school has recently been renovated.
RMSEL is a school of choice for students in grades kindergarten through
twelve who are challenged to reach their peak in academic achievement
and character development. The school was founded on the ideals of Outward
Bound and organizes its curriculum around multidisciplinary Learning Expeditions
- long-term, in-depth studies that involve fieldwork, service and adventure
and culminate in real-world projects or performances.
RMSEL is a collaborative effort of four Denver-area school districts -
Denver, Cherry Creek, Douglas County and Littleton.
