Civics and Economics Standards

A team of teachers from Denver Public Schools has drafted the district's Civics and Economics Standards in coordination with the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.

The Colorado Content Standards for Civics and Economics were used as a guide in development of the DPS standards.
It is anticipated that these standards will be adopted by the Board of Education in the spring (2001) following teacher and community review.

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction welcomes comments or suggestions from interested teachers and members of the community.
