Public Invited To Sample CSAP Tests at Take The Test Day Events January 17

What:

Take The Test Day - a chance to learn more about the CSAP (Colorado Student Assessment Program) by taking a specially prepared mock test.

When:

Wednesday, January 17, 7 p.m.-9 p.m.

Where: Five locations

• Kepner Middle School, 911 S. Hazel Ct.
• Merrill Middle School, 1551 S. Monroe St.
• North High School, 2960 N. Speer Blvd.
• Stedman Elementary School, 2940 Dexter St.
• Oakland Elementary School, 4580 Dearborn St.

How it will work:

Test questions will be similar to those given in elementary, middle and high school grades. A discussion on how students are graded and what this means for schools will follow. DPS assessment staff will be on hand to answer questions.

Why:

The state of Colorado will grade schools based on CSAP results, and funding of schools will rest heavily on CSAP results. Through Take the Test Day, parents will gain a greater understanding of this crucial assessment and how they can help.
