Early Education Conference Is Friday, January 12

Denver Public Schools' Early Education Department will hold its first annual winter conference titled "Early Footprints on Learning" Friday, January 12, at the University of Colorado at Denver.

The event will cover literacy in the early years, bilingual story-telling to monolingual children, identification of abuse and neglect, science instruction, mathematics for the early years and multicultural activities for the classroom.

The event is targeted at DPS and Colorado Preschool Program Community Site teachers and paraprofessionals who provide early care and education services to four-year-olds, DPS kindergarten teachers, and UCD students studying early education.
