Some School Magnet Application Deadlines Approaching; Others February 16

The application deadlines for several of the district's magnet programs is Friday, December 15.

The district's magnet programs offer students options for diverse and challenging learning organized around specific themes or learning styles.

Magnet programs with the December 15 deadline are:

• International Baccalaureate at George Washington High School
• Computer Magnet program, opening in the fall of 2001 at Thomas Jefferson and North high schools
• Center for International Studies at West High School

Other deadlines are as follows:

January 13 (middle school), January 30 (high school)

• Denver School of the Arts

February 16

• Garden Place Elementary
• Gilpin Extended Day
• Knight Fundamental Academy
• Moore Extended Elementary
• Northwest Dual Language/Montessori School (opening in fall 2001)
• Polaris Program at Crofton Elementary School
• Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning
• Slavens Extended Elementary
• Traylor Fundamental Academy
• Hamilton Middle School Montessori
• Hamilton Middle School International Baccalaureate Preparatory
• Fred N. Thomas Career Education Center
• Charter schools
