Board Agendas For Thursday, September 21

The Denver Board of Education has two public meetings set for Thursday, September 21. The meetings will be held at 900 Grant St.

The first meeting is a work session in room 706, scheduled for 4 p.m.

The following items are scheduled for discussion:

• Student Achievement Plan
• Medical coverage - contract renewal
• Wide Open West update
• Suspension/expulsion of students

The second is a Special Legislative meeting, scheduled for 4 p.m. in

the first floor Board Room. Items to be considered include:

• Adoption of the Student Achievement Plan.
• The proposed calendar for the 2001-2002 school year, which calls for starting the school year August 20, will be presented for information. A final vote is tentatively set for Thursday, October 19.
• Adoption of districtwide student achievement goal.
• Formal ratification of salary agreement with the Denver Classroom Teachers Association.
• Final report from the Construction Advisory Committee for the new Stapleton school.
