Construction Groundbreakings And Dedications Scheduled

Providing ample evidence of a growing school district, a full slate of dedications and groundbreakings are scheduled this month.

The events will celebrate progress of two initiatives. The first is the school district's $305 million bond program, which will create nine new schools and classroom additions at 20 other schools. The second initiative is the City of Denver's neighborhood bond program, which the school district is overseeing.

The neighborhood bond program is providing new athletic playing fields at 20 Denver schools. Seven new middle school athletic playing fields will be dedicated.

Under the district's bond program, one new elementary school and classroom additions at seven other schools will be dedicated this month. Groundbreaking ceremonies will be held for a new elementary school and classroom additions at two secondary schools. Collectively, the projects provide room for an additional 1,800 students.
