The Denver Board of Education has three meetings set for Thursday, June 1. The meetings will be held at 900 Grant St.
At 4:00 p.m. in the first floor board room, the Board will hear:
- An update on administrator pay for performance.
- Recommendations from the Hispanic Education Advisory Committee regarding the district's English Language Acquisition (ELA) program.
- A presentation on the Learn and Earn project.
Following staff reports, the Board will adjourn to room 706 for a work session. The following items are scheduled for discussion:
- Denver Association of School Administrators (DASA)
- The district's assessment plan
- Short-term and long-term priorities
- Teacher recruitment and retention
- Negotiations and personnel (closed)
The Board's monthly public hearing is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the first floor board room. As of Wednesday afternoon, 12 speakers had signed up to speak on such topics as curriculum matrices, school reform and superintendent selection.
