MLK STUDENTS WINNERS OF WRITING CONTEST

Three students from Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School are among the winners in the Colorado Kids Read Across American Contest, sponsored by the Denver Post.
Sixth-grader Tawanda Felicianna tied for third place with her poem, titled "No Matter What, You're In Style." Sixth-graders Branden Baker and Ricardo Salas both earned honorable mention. Baker's poem is titled "Why Do People Fight?" Salas' piece is called "I Want to Make Some Friends."
