There is a section with pictures of the interiors of passenger trains, including compartments, and one with pictures of freight trains, which has a good picture of the electric lines used for European trains. There is also an interactive map, showing the the railways in France. The Petites Histoires link has 2-3 interesting facts about the French railroad system, but not much more. WebMuseum: Louvre http://sunsite.unc.edu/louvre/ This is one US site for the Louvre WebMuseum. Other sites in the US and elsewhere, which could be used to speed up access for classes are shown on the page. There are three tours: Cézanne, les Très Riches Heures du Duc du Berry, and Famous Paintings (which include Impressionist paintings from the Musée d’Orsay, modern paintings from le Centre Pompidou, and Japanese paintings).
