There are many games to play, most of which require Shock-Wave. These games develop visual and especially auditory memory. It is designed for prereaders to click on pictures to safe and interesting children’s links on the web. Each picture has a one sentence description written in simple “child-like” vocabulary. The child can click on any letter and see 30 or more pictures and words that begin with that letter. You can participate in field trips to a variety of locations (Everest, Antartica), complete with journal notes and photos. PBS Science provides guides to shows like Nature, NOVA, and Newton’s Apple. Children go through a story searching for Waldo. It moves fairly quickly, for an online game. It has good visual discrimination work for young children. Reading is required to understand the story and directions so it is a good game for parents and children to share.	9/10/97
