Instructional
Superintendents
The Instructional Superintendents head up support teams to help our schools. Each team includes Instructional Specialists in the areas of Math/Science, Humanities (Social Studies and Language Arts at the secondary level), Special Education, English Language Acquisition, Arts, Assessment and Early Education. The team’s primary focus is to work with principals and teachers to support quality instruction.
These teams, including the Instructional Superintendents, are in schools virtually all the time. They are supported in schools by facilitators, teachers on special assignment, who combine their curriculum and content awareness with knowledge of best practice and assessment data to support teachers in meeting student need. The teams assist principals, assistant principals, facilitators and teachers in all facets of professional development and improved instructional practice.
