As part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Denver Public Schools (December 1, 1902), this site has been created to capture memories and reminiscences of former teachers, principals, staff members, parents, students, and any member of the greater community.
Do you recall a great teacher? Do you remember how a new school changed your neighborhood? Did one school event or program make a difference in your life? What was the most memorable day of learning in Denver Public Schools? Perhaps you are a teacher and you’ve kept a letter from a former student - now would be a great time to share. Or perhaps you are a former student who has kept in touch for decades with fellow students or former teachers.
This website needs you. Please take a few minutes to jot down a few thoughts. Please send items (no more than 500 words, please) by e-mail to communications@dpsk12.org. You may also mail written memories to Room 110, Communications Office, 900 Grant St., Denver, CO 80203.
If you have old photographs or any accompanying, relevant artwork that you would like to send along, these are also welcome. If you have the ability to send digital images, please e-mail them to communications@dpsk12.org.
For written submissions, please include your name - items will not be published without your name. Also please include your telephone number (this will not be published on the web site) so we may call you with any questions about the information you provide.
